Visiting Scarborough State Beach
Scarborough State Beach is one of the few beaches in Rhode Island that actually faces the Atlantic Ocean, rather than Block Island, Narragansett Bay, or Rhode Island Sound. It is located approximately 35 miles south of Providence, and many vacation rentals are available in the area because a number of people consider it to be the best-known and most popular beach in the state.

Rhode Island – Colt State Park
It’s really not hard at all to find a great park in Rhode Island, so to be considered the “gem” of the state’s park scene, you really have to be doing something right. Colt State Park is primarily known for its panoramic view of the Narragansett Bay, but that’s really only one small fraction of what the park truly has to offer. Rhode Island – Arcadia State Park
Rhode Island might be the smallest state, but it happens to have one of the largest state parks in the country. Arcadia State Park is over 14,000 acres. That is such a large number that it’s difficult to comprehend. Since the park is easily accessible from I-95, it’s a great place to visit while traveling. Nothing can soothe your senses more than sitting by a quiet river and hearing nothing but the flow of the water and chirping birds. Pennsylvania – Tyler State Park
Pennsylvania’s Tyler State Park is located in Bucks County on the Eastern end of the state. It sits on 1,711 acres of farmland. The Neshaminy Creek is one of the centerpieces of the park and it helps to geographically divide the park into several different parts.
