Default Fishing in rapids

I'm thinking of taking a trip to Grand Rapids and I was wondering if anyone's ever fished there. I keep picturing that Brad Pitt movie but I'm not sure I want to be standing and fishing.

My experience is that fishing is much better below rapids. Fish spend less energy sitting on the eddy lines and slackwater and watching for food stirred up by the current to come by.

This old bridge into Albany is almost fully covered in kudzu. It's been closed approx. 3 years or so.
