Default Hooked a huge Tarpon!

We were fishing a few days ago and I actually hooked this huge Tarpon. I even manged to get him to the boat along with sever nice jumps out of him (which is all we usually get). We let him go and he even did another jump. We weren't sure if he was mad or saying good bye!

Kudos on the Tarpon! Tricky devils.

I love the way Tarpons fight and jump. They are fun fish to catch along with snook.

I bet you had a blast too! My cousin was telling me that one of his got away and he was ready to go hunt it down in the middle of the night one year on his trips out. I have yet to go, maybe next trip out if I am lucky.

I have ALWAYS wanted to go fishing for Tarpon! That must have been awesome! I would love to fish for go swordfish also. Any fish that puts up a heated fight when caught, and does a little jumping too boot, really makes for an exciting day of fishing. Good for you!!

That must have been fun and having him stay on long enough to get it to the boat was a big job. We've managed to hook some here and there, get a few nice jumps out them and poof they're gone.
