Default Jellyfish stings

What is the most effective cure for a jellyfish sting? I've heard that human urine is the only one, but there has to be more then just that, right?

First thing is to get the tentacles off. You will want to rinse them with hot water if possible. Salt water is better then fresh, fresh can make the pain worse. Use gloves, shells, or tweezers if that does not work. Then immerse the area in hot water. I think it was extremely hot, around 122 degrees to be the most effective, get it as hot as you can stand without scalding. Ibuprofen can help relieve pain.

Urine does not always have enough acid to neutralize the venom. There has been a growing debate if white distilled vinegar works.

Keep an eye out for allergic reactions like hives, wheezing, shortness of breath, dizziness.

I stepped on a jelly fish when I was a kid. I don't remember the pain, but I do remember being on the beach screaming at the top of my lungs. I also can't remember what my parents did to help me. I think I was just so focused on screaming, lol.

Thanks for those tips, Jason. It's good to know

I remember seeing on Survivor someone pee on someone else because they were stung by a jellyfish. I have never been near a jellyfish, so it's good to know what to do if I encounter one. Thanks for the tips Jason!
