Learning-Taking Lessons

When you learned to hunt did you just do so from a friend or a family member? Or is there anywhere that you can take lessons of some kind?

I grew up in a hunting family and learned a lot about it from my Father and Grandfather. There are a lot of books out there and a ton of info on line, but other than a hunting safety course, I don't know of any place that offers lessons. The books and on line info are great, but if you're interested in getting into hunting, I don't think you could do any better than finding an experienced, ethical hunter in your area and spending some time with them. Most of the hunters that I know would gladly share their experience with anybody interested in the sport.
