It is deer Season again!

I'm not much of a hunter myself, but my step-brothers and their sons go up to our cottage every year and deer hunt. They have only actually caught one deer in the 25 years I've known them. It makes me wonder if any real hunting is going on.

Sounds to me like they might be doing more drinking than actual hunting, either that or they are remarkably bad shots! Sometimes though an area can just seem to empty of deer during the hunting season. I guess the little critters smarten up or something!

Sounds like a guy I know. Getting home after a 10 day elk hunt, his wife asks if he got anything. He proceeded to tell her about all the big ones that got away. Then she says, well next time, they might not get away if you take your rifle. I put it back in the gun safe after you left.

My son-in-law and the grand sprouts are now the hunters in the family. They typically get a couple deer...and maybe a bear...each big game season.

Deer season is just getting started for you guys? The season is getting ready to come to a close down here. I think the last day is January 15th.
