Bacon wrapped quail

Has anyone else ever had bacon wrapped quail? I never had until tonight, but now that I have I hope I get to have some regularly. This was actually my first time to ever have quail at all and it was delicious!

Oh wow, that sound good and I love quail. How did you cook it? Did you wrap it in bacon and bake it in the oven?

Anything wrapped in bacon is good. Quail tends to be a little on the dry side so the bacon helps to keep it moist.

I've never had quail - what did it taste like? I've had a lot of other meat wrapped in bacon and it's always been good. Did you get the recipe? You would want it so you can make it again.

Quail is delicious! I usually fry ours when I can get some. They aren't as populous as they used to be. We used to be able to find them all of the time. Now they are few and far between.

I have to agree with what others said before...anything wrapped in bacon is delicious! I have never had quail either, but I've had just about every other feathered bird and I like them all, so I'm sure I would have loved that dish!
