Default His lucky day

I spotted a rabbit munching on my tomato plants yesterday. It was his lucky day though because I let him go. If my hubby was home this week he would have been dinner! I know how to kill them, but don't have a clue as how to process them. That's something I'll be learning when my hubby gets back!

We have a Beagle that was bred to hunt rabbit and oddly we are not that big on eating it. Poor dog, but he still loves the chase. No squirrels or birds dare step foot in our yard.

Hey, don't you dare kill Bug's Bunny! :P I don't like to kill rodents and animals like that, but if they are taking your food that's growing, sometimes things have to be done. I hope you're a good shot!

I love fried rabbit or squirrel and gravy for breakfast in the morning. Good stuff! Yeah, you better be learning how to skin that rabbit. It's not really hard but it's better to watch someone instead of trying to list all of the things you do.

Tricky part is keeping the hair off the hare.

Thats actually an easy fix LB. My grandpa taught me to dunk them in a bucket of water! Mats the hair down and makes for an easy clean. I've done this thousands of times.

Works well for bunnies and treerats. I luvs me some treerats.

Oh poor bunny! I would never dream of killing a rabbit and I don't know what a treerat is... Sounds pretty nasty!

Now I don't mind killing (or not me but the hubby) deer and other bigger creatures, but bunnies are just too darn cute.

Reminds me of a limerick...

A bear taking a dump asked a rabbit
"Does sh*t stick to your fur as a habit?"
"Of course not," said the hare,
"It's really quite rare!"
So the bear wiped his ass with the rabbit.

I still smile at that one.

My Pops said that all the time.

Treerat=Hillbilly for squirrel.

Fried with biscuits and gravy or stewed(like gumbo).
