Default Winterizing the boat

I have heard people talk about this before, but I don't quite understand what is involved. Is it as simple as taking it out of the water? Or does it need to be specially treated in some way?

You need to put fuel treatment in your motors to keep them from freezing and make sure they are protected from the weather as well. If you live in an area where rats are a problem then you need to deal with them too.
