![]() | I was reflecting today on my first time ever mountain biking. I was a fan of bike riding, and figured it would be much easier than "hiking" since the bike would do most of the work for me. WRONG! It was one of the best workouts I'd ever had! I enjoyed it thoroughly, though, and though I never got my own mountainbike I always joined the same friends and borrowed a bike for a ride when I could. |

![]() | Easy! Sure right... no way no how. I bet your muscles screamed for days! What did you put me through? It was fun though right? And you have enjoyed it since I hope. I love to mountain bike, it's a work-out but fun too. |

| To Each Their Own | Mountain biking is a great work out, and a great way to ensure a long nap later in the day. I enjoy mountain biking as much as the next guy, but I shuttle my happy butt up to the top and ride down. I know people that ride up the trail and then ride down to get that rewarding feeling... I feel just as rewarded while I'm riding in a vehicle back to the top to get my truck. When you trial your riding is 4-5 miles of single-track, rough, downhills there is no way I'm riding up the damn thing. "Being properly distracted for a moment is child's play, being rightly distracted for a lifetime is and art." ~Douglas Adams |
