Portage vent

I would just like to vent for a moment about the 2 mile portage that was necessary due to an electrical power plant dam. The electric company was supposed to provide transportation for the portage but they did not and they even gave me a hard time about it and I had to walk through town for two miles with my loaded down canoe in order to get to the next entry point for the river.

I am glad I had a good portage cart.

If they built the dam and are making money off of it and the presence of the dam is impeding your use of the waterway, they are responsible to get you around it. Please call the power company and make sure that this does not go unchecked. It's good you had the cart though, I'd hate to think of someone trying to make that portage without a cart!
