Post River Kayaking??

I started kayaking last year. I really love it. I own a Old Town Otter, cause it was cheap at the time. Now I really want to get out on the larger rivers, like the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. Will my little kayak hold up out there or do I need something larger?

A little small for my taste, not sure how well it will track. But if you are careful I see no reason why not. There are no rapids, currents may be tricky however.

I take my Malibu out in the gulf. I haven't taken it where I cannot see land, but I've gone a ways out.

It's entirely possible the combination of wind and current on a river that large will be too much for this kayak. You would probably want something a little longer.
