Default Elderberry Wine

I just tried some of my home made elderberry wine that I made this fall. It is primo! I hadn't tried with elderberries before but I love the taste. I'm going to have to make more next year. I don't have much this year because I was experimenting, but next year I'm gonna stock up!

I'm not a big wine drinker but I do love elderberry jelly. I've made some before but didn't have time to this year. I try to go out when every kind of berry is on the bush and make something out of it.

Can I come over and try some? Or we could go to Scotty's place and hang on his porch. He's deep frying a turkey for us.

Only if I can bring my pit bull, Gator. He's lonely too. Maybe the two of you could get acquainted and keep each other company. He only tastes people, he doesn't bite.

I never considered elderberry jam---sounds like a nice idea. I have 3 nice elderberry bushes on my property and often wondered what could be done with the berries.

Tea made from Elder berries is good for colds and flu. I think I would rather have the elderberry wine, though. The tea is not high on my great tastes list.

I think if I had enough wine, I wouldn't care if I had a cold or flu.

I usually don't trek very far,
when all around me empty wine bottles are.

Hi...

Ah, yes...I've tried home made elderberry wine and it's fine stuff. Also home made dandelion wine and HONEY wine.

Thanks, now I'm going to have that Elton John song stuck in my head for the rest of the evening.
