Default High 60's in November?

I live in the Midwest and generally by now we have already had our first snow. In the last week we have had mid to high 60's. What is going on with this weather?

I usually don't trek very far,
when all around me black bears are.

Hi...

I guess we're having some weather similarities. We had nine of inches of snow last week, and then it's been in the 60s for a few days, and might be the same all week. YAY...!!

It's called Indian Summer. How it got that name, I have no idea. But that's what it is. We have had 70 degree temperatures the last few days. The old air conditioning unit is still in use during the day and the heat is on at night. Weird.

Beats the heck out of the low 30s we've had for highs the last week.

I think the weather has gone nuts all over the world myself. Places are having high temps that are usually low, snow hitting places that normally come along later. We have really cool weather then it gets nice and warm?

Ahh not all that unusual- here in WV in 1978 I went deer hunting the day after Thanksgiving in a pair of shorts and an orange T-shirt. The high that day was 82. Of course, we had one of the snowiest winters in my life later that year.
