| Anywhere that is cool, dry, and dark. I leave mine in the ground as long as I can, and dig as needed. When the ground starts freezing or staying wet with snow, I put them in burlap bags in my garage under a blanket. During freezing cold snaps, I bring them in to my basement storage room. Our woodstove is in the basement, so it doesn't really stay cool enough down there for long-term storage.
