Leaves changing?!?

I had to drop my kids off with my mom for awhile today, and I noticed her leaves are already changing colors! The ones at my house are either green or brown from lack of rain. How about yours? Are the leaves around you changing colors already?

Mine aren't changing yet. I took a drive yesterday evening and a hike and I did notice that there were leaves changing on the landscape. Before we know it they will all be changed!

I finally noticed a couple walnut trees that are changing a couple leaves. You know what they say about walnut: Last to leave out, first to lose out. They're not as noticeable as the sassafras though. All the trees will be green still when the sassafras goes gold.

Just got back from the BWCA. between the dry conditiopns and the fact that it's mid Sept, (even though it was 80* yesterday there!) the leaves are changing in northern MN.
