| I had my fill of cordless tools. Unless you use them a lot and have multiple batteries, I think they are not worth the money. We have them at work and they are a pain. Sure it's nice to be able to drill something out in the middle of nowhere, but when those batteries wear out, it's expensive to replace them. We find it cheaper to just buy a whole new drill kit again. At home I don't use them a lot, when I need one the batteries are all dead and need charging again. I have used them on jobs and get tired of running back and forth for batteries. I can hook up an extension cord with a conventional drill and far more done. I used to have one of those kits with like 6 different tools in it, I got rid of it. Either way you look at it, you still need power to charge the batteries, just plug it into the drill. As far as DeWalt goes, it's just supposed to be the industrial version of Black and Decker. We go through them like water, junk as far as I'm concerned. You will pay more but Makita, Porter Cable or Milwaukee but you will get higher quality and reliability.
