Yup. He has his palate fixed, tongue, tubes in the ears, and he did some touching up on the lip/gum line inside. He is doing good right now, doesn't like the arm splints (he will need them on for a month), but we got him to eat "food" today. His fever is down slightly too. But right now he is crawling around and seems to be tired of being held all the time.

Thanks for the prayers. It is going to be a long month until he gets his checkup and we find out if everything is ok.

Hang in there. You are very strong and the best asset a child can have is a caring and dedicated parent. You all will be in our prayers.

Thanks all. We are back home finally, and James is doing great. Acting like a normal boy, wanting to climb on everything. I think the tubes in the ears have helped with his balance too. He used to wobble a bit more, and this weekend I counted 12 steps in a row of walking without help. He is walking more in general too. He loves being able to stick his tongue out now too.

Congratulations to James and all of you for overcoming another hurdle. Glad all went well!

Jason, continued good luck with your son's healing process.

My house has very old single pane windows and it gets chilly at night but not down in the 40's. I would freeze to death. I sleep with 5 blankets as it is and a small electric heater in the room with me.
