Snake bites

Have you ever been bitten by a snake? I have not but I am afraid I might someday (we have a lot of snakes in our area). Were you able to get the snake to take in with you so the doctor knew what kind it was? Isn’t that what you are supposed to do?

Never been bit. Did have a prairie rattler in the barn once (they really do taste like Chicken). Snakes are generally unagressive, so unless you're bothering one, you're unlikely to get bitten.

I have never been bitten, thank goodness. I have a healthy respect for snakes. Lamebeaver is correct in saying that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you. Most people get bitten by trying to pick them up or otherwise bothering the snake.

If you're worried about it, carry a snakebite kit and know how to use it.
