| Cumberland Island National Seashore I was wondering if anyone has camped ether primitive or at the Sea Camp out on Cumberland Island. The only access to the island is by a people only ferry or by canoe/kayak private boat or charter. I don't want to kayak/canoe in the first time I go. They allow you to stay up to 7 days. Nothing supplied/offered there not even ice. I would have to go backpack style. Sea Camp does have showers a few sites with fire rings potable water. I have been wanting to go explore the island & enjoy the ocean wildlife & night skies. There are many trails & am considering taking a bike for a ride to the north end of the island but bikes aren't allowed on the public ferry so that would require a charter. They do "rent" bikes for $20 a day IF you make arrangements on the ferry on a 1st come basis...would be nice to reserve one huh! I might just hike the trails instead. I was just wondering if anyone has been out there. BTW it is the last barrier island on the Georgia coast at the boundary to FL.
