Default I'm leaving the forums

I've decided that I am no longer welcome here. Don't try and stop me. There are too many rules here. Plus I have boundary issues.

Look charley it has nothing to do with you. But I just joined too and they are already asking me for my b-day, encrypted decipherings and such. It just feels too much like a physical. And where you walk in and it's a 6'5" 400 pound man kind.

Well, before you go perhaps you could give me a little advice on how to hike down a one lane dirt road (old rangers road) with lots of quick turns without getting hit by a car! Just getting started with backpacking and heading into the Linville Gorge, NC in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for pausing to give advice as you dash out the forum. The door closes slowly so it shouldn't hit you from behind!

A) drive, hiking's overrated

Or

B) wear lots of reflective tape and don't dress up like a deer. Statistically they are 3 times more likely to get hit.

Sorry about that last part of my remark HikerJoe. It was rude of me. It will probably take me a while to figure some of you refugees sense of humor out. We are glad to have you here.

Wow. Dramatic. Pointless, but dramatic.

Well I was being serious about the tape especially at night. I mainly hike in national parks and wilderness areas so no cars there. Wear good footwear, bring all the essentials: water, food, fire starter, xtra clothing, rocket launcher. Is there tons of traffic or the occasional 4 wheeler?
