A Review section?

I just wanted to throw my $.02 out there. I think a product review section would be very helpful here. I know I look to my fellow hikers, campers, hunters and such for recommendations when I am getting something new. Rather than cluttering the board with threads looking for suggestions, they could go into their own section. Thanks for the consideration!

Great idea campfire. Backpacker has their gear reviews but it is all based on high end products. In here we have homemade, lower end and high end discussions. Some of the cheap stuff works pretty good for most people.

I think this would be a natural development of the site as it gets more and more threads about certain products/gear - personally would love to see it.

This may be a workable idea. I wouldn't call it a review section, more like feedback. I like it because some reviewers are expertly bad at what they do or are getting kickbacks for their recommendations.

Years ago I was looking for a .17HMR rifle so I read a test review on six different maufacturers. The reviewers went into great detail and then picked the Ruger as best overall. The problem for me was that their pick came in second in accuracy tests. The most accurate was the cheapo Savage. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want a gun that's going to be close. I want mine to hit the target.

This is an example of feedback. I think it would be beneficial.
