Default Hello

Thought I'd pop in and check this place out. I love the outdoors and am always looking to hone my skills and learn new things from everyone. I'll try to contribute what I can but I'm no master woodsman, just a perpetual student.

We don't really get a lot of "master woodsman" traffic on this forum, Dura. They're usually out rubbing sticks together or gathering dead leaves to stuff inside moose intestines to form a pillow. However, welcome to the forum, and enjoy your stay anyway.

Wait a second, you guys don't use moose intestines stuffed with leaves to sleep on? I must be on the wrong forum then, darn it!

Naw....we just crawl up in the dead moose carcass like Luke Skywalker. Did I mention we are all Star Wars fanatics too?

May the Force with with you......

Moose Intestines: An Under-utilized Outdoor Resource?

Problem is, a person can only use so many pillows. Really, the conscientious outdoorsperson should probly make stuff bags or small pouches from it, perhaps leggings, and donate the remainder to the less fortunate...

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have to let everyone know that I draw the line at squeezing my drinking water from poop though.

I've always been interested in the outdoors but Les was the inspiration that got me more involved in wilderness skills. He is a good dude unlike most of the other "personalities" on TV.
