While it is a cultural and artistic place, the draw of Taos for me is outdoor recreation in Carson National Forest.

Sounds like a nice place! Have you been to Austin Texas ever? I'm going to visit soon and could use some tips on great trails and outdoor stuff... especially water stuff since the summers get so hot :P
