Default New guy in MA

Hey folks. Just found this forum via a Facebook link.

Long time camper/hiker here. These days the hikes tend to be dayhikes and the camping is with two kids and sometimes the wife.

Glad to be part of the forum! Hopefully I can meet some folks in MA/RI and learn some new things.

Greetings and salutations. Not from that area, but I do look forward to hearing about that area.

I grew up in Wrentham, some good hiking in the state forests.
Have you done the Warner trail in your backyard?

I have done some of the Warner Trail. I can't say I have done the whole thing yet.

The Wrentham State Forest has been bad news for me and my kids. We tried a few times and got run out by dirtbikes every time. Too dangerous to bother.

I have found that staying off the main trails/roads I can avoid the bikes, I spend a lot of time out there with my dog and have had very little contact with anyone. There are so many side trails that all lead back sooner or later.
