Default New guy returning to camping

Hi, all.

I'm getting back in to camping after 17 years away. I haven't camped since I was a senior in high school, and I'm 35 now. My son is 6 and just started Cub Scouts, so back into the tent I go.

I've remained an outdoors person, and regularly hike, fish or kayak all over northeast TN and southwest VA. I like the look of this forum so I'm looking forward to getting to know it more. Looks like a lot of great resources to draw from. Hope I can add something to it myself.

Thanks for having me.

Chuck

Greetings and salutations. Some beautiful landscapes up there. You going to send down some cool weather?

It's warming back up here! So our cool weather must be coming your way.

Thanks all for the welcomes. I'm enjoying the site. It's my kind of place.

Please send the cool weather my way. My son has been enjoying it. I would love to get him out for his first hike soon.

Glad to hear all is well though. Enjoy your stay.

Hi Chuck. A lot of us end up taking a hiatus from camping when the kids are little. Six is a great age to be introducing them to the great outdoors. This will be one of the best times of your life. Enjoy!
