Default Alkaline camp fire meals

I am on an alkaline diet from my doctor now. My Sciatica is messing about and causing me pain so my doctor suggested it. Anyone have any idea what kind of camp food I can eat that will still be a part of my new diet?

Alkaline Foods are required to regulate the body's acid and alkaline chemistry. If available in sufficient quantity they may help in increasing stamina and strength, a stronger immune system, a greater sense of well-being and weight loss. The various food sources of alkaline are like Milk, nonfat, reduced fat, and whole, vitamin D fortified, Sardines, canned in oil, drained, Egg, Cheese, Swiss, Mackerel, Salmon, Margarine, Liver, beef. Other sources may include Pure Cod liver oil, Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna fish, Sardines, Margarine, Fatty fish and fish oils, Buckwheat Groats, Sesame, Almonds, Sunflower, Chocolate, Tinned Foods, Instant Meals, Fast Food, Powdered Soups, Saturated Fats, Margarine , Vegetable Oil, Vegetable Oil, Hydrogenated Oils, White Pasta, Wholemeal Bread, White Bread, Biscuits, Yogurt, Crustaceans, Pudding Liver and Cheese. They above mentioned items can be taken in various forms. It can be taken raw, boiled, cooked, and frozen, with sugar or without sugar, with salt or without salt, drained, chopped or canned. It depends upon the type of food you consume. You can also have salads, spices and marjoram. Green vegetables like alfalfa, soybeans, cauliflower, and cheddar cheese. There should be more importance given to the green leafy vegetables. They are required for healthy maintenance of our bones and parts of the body or else without them the bones may become soft, weak or brittle.

Yeah thanks for all the info. I am working my way through what my doctor gave me and the reading was a lot more bleak than that. I could do salmon, onions and the dark leafy greens. Hopefully this helps with the pain levels and energy levels.

Sorry to hear about your health problem. Sciatica is a nasty illness. I suppose it is a rather big inconvenient for outdoor activities.

You should stick to your doctor's recommendations, but just to throw in my two cents... two highly alkaline foods that come to mind are figs and lima beans.
