| A House Divided In my book, aluminum foil is God's gift to campers . Peggy,(my wife) thinks the deadly toxins eminating from aluminum foil will be the death of us all. She doesn't even have any aluminum pots in da kitchen. Over the years we have reached a compromise. We have a huge roll of heavy duty foil we got from Sam's Club, "for emergencies" that goes with us always. It's my job to come up with inventive emergencies When I am off with the guys we use foil for everything. We do lots of dutch oven cooking and usually line the oven with foil. It's a lot easier to throw away foil than to lug the pot to the creek and try to clean it there. Not to mention having to dry and care for the pot every time. Peg and I make a game outa the big foil debate. I come up with "that grill is way too dirty and gotta be worse for ya than the foil I'm gonna cook on" to which she replies, "I know I packed that steel brush somewhere's"
