Default Aluminum Foil-Greatest Invention for Cooking

Does anyone appreciate aluminum foil as much as I do? I was thinking last weekend, I would have to clean the grills at all the campsites before I could cook if we didn't have aluminum foil to cover them with. I also like to packet cook food when we're camping. I absolutely love the non stick aluminum foil too.

It's also great for making them hats to keep aliens and government agents from tracking you down and planting weird ideas in your head!

Sarge is right. If you wrap yourself in aluminum long enough, you'll get Alzheimer's and won't have any ideas in your head.

Haha! I love aluminum foil too. I use it a lot at home too to line pans and casserole dishes for less of a mess to clean up later.

My backpack always has two sets of folded up foil ready for a tasty trout dinner.

My kids used to like to use foil to do camp crafts. They would come up with all kinds of great ideas. I think their best were these aluminum foil masks they made.

Oh I love it to and couldn't do without it, especially camping. Cooking is so much easier and quicker clean ups with it. I haven't tried the non stick yet though, will have to get some of that.

Default A House Divided

In my book, aluminum foil is God's gift to campers. Peggy,(my wife) thinks the deadly toxins eminating from aluminum foil will be the death of us all. She doesn't even have any aluminum pots in da kitchen. Over the years we have reached a compromise. We have a huge roll of heavy duty foil we got from Sam's Club, "for emergencies" that goes with us always. It's my job to come up with inventive emergencies When I am off with the guys we use foil for everything. We do lots of dutch oven cooking and usually line the oven with foil. It's a lot easier to throw away foil than to lug the pot to the creek and try to clean it there. Not to mention having to dry and care for the pot every time. Peg and I make a game outa the big foil debate. I come up with "that grill is way too dirty and gotta be worse for ya than the foil I'm gonna cook on" to which she replies, "I know I packed that steel brush somewhere's"
