Campfire hot dogs

Have you ever tried to roast your hotdogs on the campfire? How about in the campfire in the bun already?

We make them this way:

Put your dog in your bun, then add onions and cheese to the top of the dog. Wrap it up tight in foil and toss into coals. You don't have to flip the foil package around - you just take it out in 20 minutes or so.

It's delicious!

Sounds pretty easy and yum too! The kids always roast hots over the campfire on sticks. I wonder if you could do this with chili too. The kids love chili/cheese dogs. I think I'll give it a try!

Hot dogs are the only other food I've roasted on a stick. I didn't put them in a bun either. I just roasted it and ate it off the stick. Sometimes I might just squirt some ketchup on it for extra flavor though.
