Default Campfire Marshmallows

I was out and about today at the store and saw a bag of "Campfire Marshmallows" I have never seen such huge marshmallows in my life. They were nearly the size of my fist.

Sounds like overkill. I could just see some 100pound woman or 8 year old kid trying to tackle one of those on the end of a flaming stick. Then followed by marshmellow burns, and sore gut.

I was thinking something similar. If one of my kids got one of those flaming and shot it across the camp, out tent would be up in flames.

I keep looking at them in the store, trying to decide if I want to give them a try. If we get them I'll let you know how they turned out. The marshmallow is my favorite part of a smore, but I'm not sure they would even fit on the cracker!

I think perhaps if you use the whole cracker rather than breaking it, it may just fit but a lot will squish out I am sure.

I haven't seen them yet, but sounds like a bit too much. When I roast marshmallows I like the toasty burnt portion best, with a little of the soft marshmallow as well. With a marshmallow that big, I would think you'd have to burn the thing to get a soft center.

Besides problems of roasting the giant thing it seems like a ton of sugar for just on marshmellow

I keep seeing more and more of them. I am not sure I understand the appeal. On a plus side, you wouldn't need many to make rice krispie squares.

It's a marshmallow. If it's too big cut it in half.
