Default Chili and cornbread Yum Yum

Well the weather warmed back up, but I already had all the makings for it so tonight is homemade chili and jalapeno cheese cornbread! I have had it cooking on low all day in the crock pot and it smells delicious!

That meal sounds yummy! I have never eaten cornbread with chili. I always eat crackers with my chili. Do you mind sharing your cornbread recipe? I only know how to make plain cornbread.

Anytime is a good time for chili, at my house. My family will eat homemade chili, no matter what the weather is like. I would also enjoy your recipe for cornbread. Is it really spicy?

That sounds like our family. We would rather have soup, chili or stew any day of the year. I've made homemade chicken noodle soup too that I love. Anything like this is always served with cornbread or corn muffins.

Fresh hot cornbread with honey is right up there with ice cream for a desert around here. Chili, soups and stews are also a regular part of our menu's.

Reading this topic makes me salivate already. I love hot soup anytime of the year so chilli will really keep me going. What is a good alternative for a cornbread because I don't know how to make one.

We had some fresh jalapenos left from the garden and I just sliced them and added some shredded cheedar cheese to the regualr cornmeal mix. When I don't have fresh we use the ones in the jar.
