I could see eating some chili on a chilly winter day for a short camping trip but nothing long haul like. If I have to walk for miles and miles on end chili is not for me, its like trying to feed me turkey and expect me to not nap afterwards.

Oh we can wait for some good chili weather. And we always make up our chili before we leave to go camping. So much easier that way and so nice to just be able to heat it up and eat. Also, I think the more you 'cook' it the better it gets.
