Default Cowboy Bread

We were all sitting around this weekend talking about camping and a friend of mine was talking about making cowboy bread. She said it was delicious and she made it all of the time when they were camping and her kids loved it. She's from Texas and she said everyone makes it down there. She did point me to a recipe but she says she also puts raisins or dates in her bread too, for extra energy when they are all out doing physical activities.
