| I used to have one like jason's but it burned out. I have since bought two that are basic five trays. There is no temp control or fan since heat rises on its' own and the heat unit has to be bigger because the fan has a cooling effect. The simpler ones don't eat as much power and the temp can be adjusted by the top vents.
Like limbs and the breamfisherman, I dry herbs, vegetables, fruit, and make jerky. I've done apples, pears, peaches, wild strawberries, celery, potatoes, carrots, turnips, zucchini, and corn. Meats include beef, venison (several varieties), turkey, fish, and alligator.
Apologies to jason. I don't mean to insult.
