Favorite breakfast

What is your favorite breakfast food when camping? Do you have all 3 meals when camping? We tend to eat a late breakfast and then have dinner. We do have snacks and such if we get hungry mid-day. We usually do eggs, bacon and pancakes and sometimes fried potatoes and we fill up. You need your fuel for hiking and playing all day at camp.

Depends on what I'm doing, but the usual routine is eat a big breakfast, have something fast for lunch and then a big dinner.

My usual camping partner had gastric bypass surgery last year, so we have to adjust that so she can have regular meals (high-protein, especially) that she needs to stay in balance.

There is nothing better than the smell of bacon or sausage and eggs cooking either on the campfire, or propane stove. And don't forget a big steaming cup of coffee to chase away the early morning chill until the sun warms everything up. Good times!

Hi...

One of my all around favorites is...crisp bacon...lots of it. and with the bacon, a mess of soft scrambled eggs. Yum. Yum.

That goes for camping...(if I'm taking a frying pan with me)...or at home.

Hark...!! Is that a hand grenade I hear exploding? Ow! Ow! Ow!

I like cold pizza too! Of course not when we are camping though. I love fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, toast and ham slices. I don't want much do I? I don't like bacon - only on BLT's and that is not very often.

Bacon, Scrambled eggs with onions, sweet peppers and colby jack cheese scrambled in them, potatoes fried with onions and lots of black pepper in the bacon fat, and biscuits (dripping with butter and homemade preserves or apple butter).

Bacon! It's meat candy....

They have preserved precooked bacon in a box that you could take backpacking, but it's a lot to eat for one person and I would hate to waste it. Two people could make a meal off it, though. Once its opened you have to fridge it or eat it.
