Default Foil Cooking Under The Sun

There are many ideas of cooking food while camping. I have read an article that you could use the foil to cook food at noon. The theory is to place the foil in a bowl and placing the food in the middle. The rays of the sun will hit all the sides of the foil and will be reflected to the food which is in the middle of the bowl.

I think this method is for people who don't like to start fire.

Hmm... I have never thought to try this but as hot as it gets here in the summer I bet it would work and it probably wouldn't even have to be noon!

It sounds interesting but I would wonder how hot it would need to be to properly cook something (meat for example), like if there is a safety temp or anything that way. I am sure certain foods might not be an issue but I would worry I might under cook it.

If not done correctly, the toilet paper that one would have to pack would be about the same size as a stove.

Interesting foil idea that I will have to try. I am always thinking of how to heat up a meal for lunch as I bring my lunch to work. I work for a cable company doing installs and service so my office is my van

Reynolds wrap had a bunch of recipes for foil meals.

Some of the guys at work have an inverter in their truck and carry a small microwave to warm their dinners up.
