Default Interesting way to cook an egg

I hate hard boiled eggs so I haven't tried this, but I thought it sounded pretty cool. You just need an egg and a piece of newspaper. Get the piece of newspaper damp, and then wrap the egg inside it. Bury the wrapped egg in the coals and wait 5-8 minutes and voila a hard boiled egg with no pan!

That's a pretty neat way to cook eggs...yours too EddieK . I am not a very big fan of hard boiled eggs either, but I might do it just to try next time we have a fire!

That's a pretty neat little trick there, and I imagine the kids would think so too. We will have to give this a try our next time out. This will be something different besides scrambled eggs every morning.

Love hard-boiled eggs, here. The newspaper trick is a good one, Basically you're steaming them as the newspaper dries out. Have to try it one day.

We all love hard boiled eggs in my family! Awesome... I am most certainly going to try this. What a neat trick! I hope it works. The kids love to eat theirs plain and I like to mush mine and add mayo!

That does sound interesting enough. I wonder if it works too. I won't start out with a dozen of them - I'll just do one to see how it is. I wonder if it tastes different - you know cooked in the coals?

I have never heard of this way to hard boil an egg before. It does sound like it could work and and easy way of doing it while you are camping without having to use a pot. Maybe we will just give this a try the next time we are camping.
