Default Sassafras Root

I have found a source of sassafras root near me. I intend to harvest it before winter too. It's so good to have a hot cup of sassafras tea when it's cold outside. It's been years since I went searching for sassafras and I'm glad I've found some. Have you ever tried it?

I absolutely love sassafras tea. It's good cold as well. Sassafrass is pretty easy to find around here, plus there are some herbal shops that sell the dried root as well.

Something else you may enjoy is "pink lemonade" made from the red berries on Staghorn Sumach. It's pretty sour, so you'll most likely want to sweeten it.

I have two stands of sassafras on my ranch and a bottle full of dried roots.
