Well IndianaHiker, I never thought of the tent as being saran wrap for a bear! Thanks for putting that in my head! We do always try to be careful about keeping food up and out of the way and garbage too.

My backpacking tent has netting from 6 inches up so I can see everything I need to without getting bugs in my bag!

Thanks, sarge. As soon as I have some extra cash, I'll invest some in one of those. They're much less expensive than the ones made for hikers.

Here in Southern Indiana the dew is always like that . I typically have to set my sleeping bag out in the sun while I eat breakfast to dry. Bugs are not that big of a problem 100% deet takes care of them most of the time.
