Default Spaghetti

Seriously we went camping last Monday through Thursday with some friends. They had brought spaghetti to make for dinner one night. I couldn't' believe it! Spaghetti is not something that I would ever make at camp. How about you?

Well it could be done with a simple recipe but for me I think the best thing to do would be to make some up ahead of time and freeze it then bring what you need. Sounds much easier that way.

I've done it plenty of times. Make the sauce at home and bring it along.

It's easy to make - sorry that wasn't the point I was trying to make. It's not CAMP food. I don't want spaghetti when I'm camping. I want food grilled on the campfire - not boiled in a pan.

I'm going to make it this coming week. Sometimes it is fun to do the dutch oven or cooking over the fire stuff. Other times, l just want quick and easy. And I know for certain that both of my kids will be happy to eat it.

If it isn't your idea of camp food, don't eat it when camping. And I won't eat it because I don't like it. And Ponderosa will fix it because her kids will eat it. Ain';t FREEDOM wonderful? (Thanks Soldiers, love you guys and girls)
Wouldn't it be terrible if Mc D etal didn't have a menu on the wall?

I think I get ponderosa's post now. When camping, he wants to burn some dead animal over a fire and tear the flesh from its' bones with his teeth while making grunting noises. There's a real guy! I like that too.

Well I like to grill things too but sometimes you may want a variety and if you like spaghetti and want to eat it while camping, then go for it. I think kids always like it so it may be a good thing for them.

One of my kids is really picky and spaghetti is one of the few meals she will eat. So yes, I would, and do, make it when we go camping. I grill small meat balls and add campy type spices. I also grill garlic bread.

Mmmmm. Spaghetti and butter! Yumm! I make this a lot for my bunch. I haven't ever taken it camping but now that you've given me the idea, I may have to take it next time.
