Default Speaking Of Insects

I've just heard that Angelina Jolie's kids love to eat crickets. This little tidbit was imparted by my wife who found it somewhere. It seems the Asian contingent of her adopted kids were introduced to them as part of their cultural heritage and now she wants them to stop eating them. So what's wrong with eating crickets?

The serial adopter. I think she shots for one kid per country. Seriously though, they are supposed to be nutitious but unless I was in danger of dying of starvation, I don't think I could choke one down.

Well that is a tricky one. Did she let them eat them from the beginning and now wants them to stop? And are they eating them raw right from the ground? I don't really think there is anything wrong with it but don't know that I would want mine eating raw ones. I'd be afraid they might have some sort of disease or something.

Their immune system probably takes care of anything in them. Crickets aren't that bad. Tasteless, high in protein, easy to catch, high in moisture, and have never gotten me sick. Their legs have a tendency to stick between the teeth, though.

Who cares? Angelina Jolie is a Hollywood weirdo who will bring those kids up to be as pampered and unrealistic as she is.

Since I am not a bearded dragon I am pretty sure they are not on my menu. I also am not liking the idea of chocolate covered crickets, seems people will put anything on them these days. Her mothering skills? I will pass on that one too!
