Too hot for campfire

We went out to make burgers over the fire last night but it was way to hot to be cooking over the fire. Anyone else running in to this problem?

Oh yeah. We have a heat index of 105 degrees what with the heat AND the humidity. We aren't even cooking inside the house today. It's cold sandwiches and snacks for us.

Yes you do have that to contend with in the summer months, especially in the south although I think there is a heat wave all over! We just go for the cold sandwiches and chips on those nights. Still fun to eat it outside.

Not here. We have a heat advisory too. They are advising people to stay indoors and I understand there are quite a few deaths across the country. I really don't want to go outside more than is necessary. There is outdoor fun and dangerous. I don't do dangerous.
