Default Venison Kefta Kebabs

These are absolutely delicious I hope somebody tries them. They're great to cook while camping if you mix up the ingredients at home and bring in the cooler and they're a fabulous way to use your venison.

1lb ground venison
1/3 lb ground lamb or goat with extra fat (to compensate for the lean venison)
1/2 finely chopped onion (optional a lot of people make without)
2 tbs chopped parsley
2 tbs chopped mint (optional a lot of people like it without)
1tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sumac (not 100% necessary. You can get it in an arabic store or dry your own)
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp 7 spices (found in any arabic store, or you can mix your own)
3 tbs melted butter

Mix everything together except for the butter. Form meat into long ovals onto flat kebab skewers -not the round skewers, use the flat 1/2 inch wide skewers) Cook over fire for a few minutes on each side be careful when turning not to break the meat.
brush with butter before serving.

Eat with pita or freshly made flour tortillas (flour tortillas are great to cook over the campfire in a cast iron pan) Garnish with yogurt or eat with hummus.

This sounds good, but I have never had lamb before. I have never even seen it in the grocery to to buy before. What does lamb taste like?

Lamb tastes like a dead sheep.....oops sorry, couldn't resist and my Dad used to like lambchops but I either can't or won't remember how they tasted.
