Default Applesauce Doughnuts

Oh my! These are so easy, and so good! A perfect camping dessert, enjoy!

Applesauce Doughnuts
Ingredients:
large strips of foil
1 dozen large cinnamon sugar doughnuts
1 jar applesauce

Slice the doughnuts in half like a sandwich and pour about 1/2 cup applesauce on one half of the doughnut and then place the other half on top. Wrap up completely in the foil and then heat in the coals for 10-15 minutes. (Campfire should be burned down to just hot coals.) Open the foil packet and enjoy!

Wow I think I'd like to try this right now! Of course I don't have any of the ingredients to do it. It'll definitely be trying it within the next week though. Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy! great for the kids, they'll get a little bit of fruit in between the sugar! Thanks!

Thanks for this. My husband absolutely adores apple doughnuts bought from the shop so he would love these, especially as he can put as much apple sauce as he likes in them!

Does it make a difference of the applesauce already has cinnamon in it or not? I think that is the only kind we use in the house and I would hate to overdo it.

That sounds delicious, and sort of healthy, at least the apple sauce part. This makes me wish I was camping so I could try this our! I will have to bookmark this for a later date.

Better than a frosted doughnut right? These sound good, and I will be giving them a chance next time I get near a campfire!
