Default Beef Stew?

I would love to make a big pot of Beef Stew the next time we go camping. I've only made it once or twice and it was just so-so. I just wondered if anyone here has a good recipe for it that I could try?

I wouldn't mind getting a good recipe for this either. You could take along some of those rice in a bag that you boil that takes no time at all and little room, put on the stew to warm up and have a nice meal with some warmed up rolls in not time at all.
