Default Ear of Corn on the Pit

Many have done this I'm sure, but ears of corn have got to be the easiest, quickest, best tasting vegetable to throw on the pit. What's so great is that we just throw the whole ear, with shuck and all on the pit to cook. Leave the ears on the pit anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes depending upon the heat, the young yellow-white corn is the sweetest, and you'll have a great side with those ribs you cook!

I like to roast it without the shuck and roll it around until it gets nice brown and caramelized. Can't beat corn!!!

I take some melted butter, add some spices to it, then take the corn, pull back the husks, but do not remove. Add butter and re-cover. Cook on fire until done. Open and enjoy.

I do love corn but it does not agree with some people like me who have had major dental work done. I have to chop it off the cob and eat it with a fork. Whatever works right.

That sounds yummy Jason. I will have to give this a try next time we're out. Good ol' corn, I'm glad it's classified as a vegetable. This way I don't feel so guilty eating it so often!
