Default Mock Coconut Cream Pie

I found this recipe and I can't wait to try it! I LOVE coconut cream pie, so I can't wait to see if this really does taste like it!

Ingredients:

sliced Italian bread
sweetened condensed milk
flaked coconut

Directions:

Dip both sides of Italian bread in sweetened condensed milk, then dip in coconut flakes to coat. Put on a roasting fork and roast over fire. Coconut will turn dark brown when done.

That sounds really good. My dad used to open a can of sweetened condensed milk and eat it with a spoon. I couldn't stand it and wouldn't touch it until my wife started making some desserts with it. Cooked would be wonderful.

I saw this recipe posted yesterday and thought about it when I was at the store, so I got all the fixings. We will be having a fire later this evening and I'm going to give it a try. I'll report back how it tastes. Thanks for sharing, Vino.

That sounds like it would be really good. I really like anything that has coconut in it. I will have to give it a try sometime soon.
