Any recipes for breads, etc., for stove top old time cooking? We have a cookstove in the kitchen, woodburning, and I want to fire it up this winter.

No recipe, but as one who grew up with one; There is a 2-3 inch space from the firebox over the top of the oven that sometimes fills with soot. Make sure it is cleaned out before baking in the oven or the oven will heat unevenly. This also allows the heat to transfer evenly across the top of the stove. That is your heat adjustment. The farther away from the firebox the less heat, but the space under needs to be clean.
