Ouch! That's some price. I would never be out in that type of weather that I would have to use something like that. I pretty much stay close to the homestead during the colder months. I can't stand being very cold. Ask my fella, he'll tell you what my feet feel like even during August!

charley,

A waterpoof bag would have some type of goretex or its latest derivative. Small pores allow water vapor out, but not water droplets in.

Do you REALLY need a 40 below rated bag? If you plan on camping in that kind of weather I would certainly not skimp and use a cheap bag. Your life will depend on the bag. Get the best.

I don't know folks...when it gets that cold, it's not camping to me any more...it's survival!
