Default Has Anyone Used Zodi Battery-Powered Shower?

(Sorry, I cannot include links yet because haven't made my required 15 posts.)

Hi,

In another thread titled "Looking for Camp Shower Ideas" (in the Tent Camping Forum), I ask for suggestions on a do-it-yourself gravity shower.

Then, I came across the Zodi battery-powered shower. It's about $27 at Amazon, and 28 customers out of 33 gave this product 4 or 5 stars.

I'm always a bit leery about buying inexpensive products that include an electric pump, since the pumps often don't perform very well and/or don't last very long. A few Amazon customers had problems like that with this product, but the great majority had nothing but good things to say.

Has anyone used this shower/pump system? Or another, similar one in the same price range? How did it work for you?

Thanks,
Bill

The battery powered ones are basically a bilge pump out of a boat.
Hence the price as the pumps run 19-30 bucks.

Have you looked at the Zodi shower that looks like a big bug sprayer? Bullet proof design with a stainless 3 gallon tank and small gas burner. Heat water, pump it up and bingo.
I really like mine!

I have, but at about $130, if that's the same one you are referring to, it's a bit more money than I'd like to invest. (There's another, even more expensive one too.)

Also, our minivan is our "RV," so I want to use the space efficiently. In situations where solar-heated water isn't practical, we can heat water on our propane stove to get a similar result.

If I buy the Zodi pump and hose, I'll also look for a collapsible bucket to hold the water.
